it's enough to keep the animal kingdom running smooth. an eye for an eye. a bear attacked my chicken coop and killed at least 3 of them and injured icky, one of our female ducks, ripping a chunk out of the back of her neck, exposing raw muscle. needless to say, i want revenge.

Marshmallows and Tequila.
it has been a while since my last post because we've been extremely busy working around the ranch. spring has opened the property up for some much needed clean up.
our chickens and ducks have grown from cute to monstrous in just a few weeks. our friend bob came over and moved the chicken coop across the property to one of the horse fields next to the barn and we transferred the first round of fowls to it.
the araucanas are insane and try to escape all day long.
our 'pet' ducks, icky and thump are still small and cute, though, and they run around the house following us like puppies.
we've got three huge burn piles going but no marshmallows.
we do, however, have several bottles of tequila on hand as it is cinco de mayo.
i'll be getting into that later.
in novel news:
i've written a considerable chunk of the book and i'm getting close to my second act where things are really going to get insane.
